Kok Sen Restaurant

No 30-32 Keong Saik Road Singapore 089137, Tel:6223 2005
Business: 11.30am to 2.30pm
3.30pm to 11.30pm
This restaurant is located at the heart of the oldest red-light district, even older than Geylang. This restaurant is slightly more expensive than the first Zhi Char restaurant along Keong Saik Road. But I personally find that the food is better and the taste is much better.
Fried beef with spring onions and fried kai lan with garlic
Black beans with bitter gourd and pork ribs
Their specialty claypot yong tau fu
Steamed Fish - very fresh and nice
Chilli Crabs
The crabs is fresh that the meat is sweet. The crab shell is full of crab roes
A meal like this costs SGD124.80. Melly likes the braised black bean with bitter gourd and pork ribs. So far whole Singapore this restaurant serves this dish the best! The fish is also very fresh and the way they steamed the fish is also unique when cooks with vegetables. The claypot yong tau fu is a signature dish of the restaurant. Each yong tau fu is filled with real prawns and pork. They used brinjal, lady's finger, beancurd to make the yong tau fu.This restaurant also use alot of diced gingers as ingredients for their dishes. For parking, you can park directly in front of the restaurant. It occupies 2 shop houses.

This restaurant is located at Amara Hotel. I believe the owner is the same as the ramen restaurant at Orchid Hotel. In this restaurant, it claims the ramen is full of collagen and everyone knows collagen is good for the face.
There are 3 kinds of ramen
In this restaurant, you can make your own ramen by choosing the taste of the soup, amount of chicken oil, noodle texture as well as options to exclude spring onion, deep fried onion and black fungus. There are 3 kinds of ramens: 1)Tori King Ramen 2)Black Spicy King Ramen 3)Green Spicy Tori King Ramen. Tori King Ramen(all toppings) with all the toppings will cost SGD15.90.Black Spicy Tori King Ramen Special(all toppings) will cost SGD16.90. Green Spicy Tori King Ramen Special(all toppings) SGD16.90You can also choose whether you wish to add any japanese seaweed, flavored egg or chashu. There are special condiments like spicy sauce, roasted sesame seeds and bento flake. For those who are big eaters the pickled bean sprouts and eggs are also FREE FLOW!

You crushed your own sesame seeds. See the pickled bean sprouts?
See the big slices of chashu at the backgrond?
Tori King Ramen Special
Green Spicy Tori King Ramen with Japanese Seaweed
In every option of ramen there is a big piece of chicken drum stick. Melly didn't pick the option with the flavored egg.
